2012 End of Year Book Survey ♥

So this is the third annual End of Year Book Survey, hosted by the fabulous Jamie at the Perpetual Page Turner. But this is MY first time participating. Obviously. I just started my blog this year. So yeah. Umm...okay!

Best Books in 2012

1. Best Book You Read In 2012? (You can break it down by genre if you want)

WHY MUST QUESTIONS BE SO DIFFICULT. But, honestly, I'm going to answer: Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I loved a BUNCH of books this year, but #1 would have to be that. I made a handydandy Top 10 list, too, if you want to find that.

I WOULD break it down by genre, but I'm horrible at classifying genres and y'all would probably throw rocks at me when I messed up. Hehe.

2. Book You Were Excited About & Thought You Were Going To Love More But Didn’t?

Hmm. Probably Eve & Adam by Michael Grant & Katherine Applegate. I was expecting to loooooooove that book, and just...didn't. For Darkness Shows the Stars by Diana Peterfreund didn't wow me like I thought it would, either.

3. Most surprising (in a good way!) book of 2012?

Hmmm. Probably Wither by Lauren DeStefano. I was so cautious going into that book, because I'm such a jealous person and the idea of sharing boy toy with sister-wives was not appealing to me. But then I read it and it blew me away. Can't wait for the last book in that trilogy!

And there were more books that pleasantly surprised me, but I think Wither was most prominent in my mind. Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout could be one, too. I mean, aliens? Umm, oookay... But then I read it and... you know how that ended up. LOVE.

4. Book you recommended to people most in 2012?

All books by Jennifer L. Armentrout. But mostly the Lux series--Obsidian, Onyx, and Opal. I was late to the Lux party out here in bookloverland, but I've more than made up for it. Yay to the people who told me they got the books because of me! Y'all are awesome.

5. Best series you discovered in 2012?

I'm going to be my broken record self right now, aren't I? Bare with me people. The LUX series by Jennifer L. Armentrout was the BEST.

A few honorable mentions: the COVENANT series by Jennifer L. Armentrout, the SIGNIFICANCE series by Shelly Crane (which I'm reading the first book of now and loooving!), and....goodness, so many more. This was a great book year for me.

6. Favorite new authors you discovered in 2012?

Jennifer L. Armentrout. Of course. Nancy Straight. Michelle Hodking. Miranda Kenneally. SARAH REES BRENNAN!!!!!!! Oh, I heart Sarah so much.

7. Best book that was out of your comfort zone or was a new genre for you?

She Belongs to Me by Carmen DeSousa. I'd read adult books before that one, but that one...I don't know, it was different. But it turned out great because I LOVE that book and I LOVE that author. So yay!

And Obsidian by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Aliens. Not usually my thing. Again, we know how THAT turned out.

8. Most thrilling, unputdownable book in 2012?

Hmmm. You probably think I'm going to say a JLA book. but I'm not. This one goes to Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi. I was captivated by this book. I tried my hardest to slow down when I was reading it, so i wouldn't be over so fast, but I failed.

OH, and I read Transcendence by C.J. Omololu really fast, too. On Mother's Day, no less.

9. Book You Read In 2012 That You Are Most Likely To Re-Read Next Year:

Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout. Oh, and Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi. I'm always up for a re-read of that.

10. Favorite cover of a book you read in 2012?

Yeah. I know. But it is how it is, guys. I love the cover of Significance by Shelly Crane, too.

OH, and Pure by Jennifer L. Armentrout. It's gorgeous.

11. Most memorable character in 2012?

Daemon Black from the LUX series by JLA. But Sam from Flawed by Kate Avelynn is sticking in my mind, too. And of course Daniel from the TOUCHED series by Nancy Straight <3

12. Most beautifully written book read in 2012?

Flawed by Kate Avelynn. That book...I can still feel it in my heart.

Wither by Lauren DeStefano's a close second, though.

13. Book that had the greatest impact on you in 2012?

Flawed by Kate Avelynn. Just thinking about it too hard can STILL make me cry.

14. Book you can’t believe you waited UNTIL 2012 to finally read?

Hmmm. Probably Bloodlines by Richelle Mead. I didn't wait THAT long, but still. I passed it up a bunch of times for a reason I can't even remember now. I'm pretty sure it was silly, though.

15. Favorite Passage/Quote From A Book You Read In 2012?

I have A LOT of favorite quotes, but the one that is screaming in my mind right now is:

"A world of nevers under a never sky." -Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Don't know exactly WHY, but that line gets me. I have a zillion and three other favorite quotes from this year, but I'm not going to look them up. Instead, I'm going to play by the rules right now.

Or not...I just logged on to Goodreads, guys...

"It's funny how when people change, you foget the way they sued to be." -Hallowed by Cynthia Hand

That was another one that got me right away.

"What you love the most is what you have to fight the hardest to keep." -Wanderlove by Kirsten Hubbard

All right, I'll stop there.

16.Shortest & Longest Book You Read In 2012?

So this is kind of a guess, but I checked on Goodreads, so it's out of the books I've read this year on there...

LONGEST: Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor
SHORTEST: First Comes Love by Katie Kacvinsky

This doesn't include novellas. Just saying.

17. Book That Had A Scene In It That Had You Reeling And Dying To Talk To Somebody About It? (a WTF moment, an epic revelation, a steamy kiss, etc. etc.) Be careful of spoilers!

The ending to Flawed by Kate Avelynn. Pretty much the whole book of Opal by JLA. The ending to Deity, too.

18. Favorite Relationship From A Book You Read In 2012 (be it romantic, friendship, etc).

Daemon & Katy from the LUX series. The best.

Ohhhh, and Hadley & Oliver from The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. They're so cute.

Aria & Roar in Under the Never Sky. I love Roar.

19. Favorite Book You Read in 2012 From An Author You Read Previously

How To Ruin Your Boyfriend's Reputation by Simone Elkeles. I heart Avi so much!

20. Best Book You Read That You Read Based SOLELY On A Recommendation From Somebody Else:

I don't really know...Graceling by Kristin Cashore, probably. Anna from Literary Exploration loves that book.

Book Blogging/Reading Life in 2012

1. New favorite book blog you discovered in 2012?

All the book blogs I've found this year are new, but my favorites....goodness, I love a bunch!

2. Favorite review that you wrote in 2012?

Ohhhh, my review of Days of Blood & Starlight by Laini Taylor. I was so in the zone for that one.

And then my gif-filled review for Deity by Jennifer L. Armentrout. That one makes me laugh.

3. Best discussion you had on your blog?

Hmm. Is this referring to discussion posts? Because I've only done, like, one so far. And it was pretty much just a gushy moment for me. Other than that, there was nice talk on my top 10 of 2012 posts, and my Opal Release Party Recap.

4. Most thought-provoking review or discussion you read on somebody else’s blog?

I....I don't know...I don't think I really write thought-provoking reviews...do I? The closest thing I've ever had to that would probably be my review for Flawed by Kate Avelynn.

5. Best event that you participated in (author signings, festivals, virtual events, memes, etc.)?

Oh, no doubt in my mind the Opal Release Party, and then the dinner afterward.

Ohh, and being on Team Luxing After Daemon in the Daemon Invasion, which we WON! Our names are on the dedications for Opal and everything! *squee!*

6. Best moment of book blogging in 2012?

Um, meeting JLA and having her call me sweet. Oh, and Valerie from Stuck in Books, too!

7. Most Popular Post This Year On Your Blog (whether it be by comments or views)?

Whoa, I don't know...I have to look this one up...

I'm not including giveaways...My Top 10 of 2012 post for Book Boyfriends. That has a lot of views...

THANKS, GUYS. <3

8. Post You Wished Got A Little More Love?

This is totally a trick question. I want all my posts to have love! But probably my reviews. I spend time on those, guys. I think about what I say and everything.

But then memes, too, because I like to see what you guys think and are featuring. And then my random posts because I love randomness.

So here we are again--ALL of my posts.

9. Best bookish discovery (book related sites, book stores, etc.)?

ARCycling! Genius idea.

10. Did you complete any reading challenges or goals that you had set for yourself at the beginning of this year?

2013's going to be my year to try reading challenges, but I DID make it to my Goodreads challenge goal--115 books. I actually had to bump it up a few times. Next year, I'm going to go so big on that.

Looking Ahead...

1. One Book You Didn’t Get To In 2012 But Will Be Your Number 1 Priority in 2013?

Cursed by Jennifer L. Armentrout. I mean, I have to GET it first, but then...

2. Book You Are Most Anticipating For 2013?

I made a list! But #1 was Origin by Jennifer L. Armentrout.

The Collector by Victoria Scott is something I'm DYING for, too!

And I HAVEHAVEHAVE to mention Dracian Legacyby Priya Kanaparti. I've been reading deleted scenes and stuff (because I luuuurve Priya!) and it is killing me to not have this book yet. I want so muuuuuch!!!!!!!!

3. One Thing You Hope To Accomplish Or Do In Your Reading/Blogging In 2013?

Comment on other people's blogs more! I check out other blogs ALL THE TIME (trust me, guys, I do!) but I'm always too lazy or tired or something to comment. I should try to do that more, like on weekends or something. And when you leave a link for me HERE, I always check it out, even if I don't comment. I just wanted you to know that.

Other than that...I'm blanking on what else. I should probably hope to read more of what I SHOULD as opposed to what I WANT, but...nah. It all works out in the end ;)

All right. That's it. The end of my first End of Year survey! This is a big deal. *happy dance*

For the record, I didn't link to any of my own posts here. I'm so tired right now, you don't even know. And I don't feel the best at the moment. BLAH. I did link to other people's blogs, though.

I heart you guys!! <3

What I Got #20 ♥ Christmas 2012! (LOTS of books)

What I Got is a weekly meme hosted by the lovely Monica over at Cover Analysis!

Okay, so. I haven't done a What I Got post in a few weeks. Because I'm lazy. Plus, I've been a wee bit busy with, you know, LIFE. Now, add Christmas on top of no posting, and...urm...well, you get A LOT of books. So bear with me, people. And since I have SO. MANY books, I'm not really linking anything. That would take FOREVER.

First thing's first--review books!

For Review:
Who I Kissed  Nobody But Us
Defy the Stars

Who I Kissed by Janet Gurtler
Thank you, Netgalley. This book reminds me so much of Kiss Me, Kill Me by Lauren Henderson, but still. Looks good. Plus, there's obviously kissing, right?

Spirit Fighter and Fire Prophet by Jerel Law
These are for a blog tour! My stop's...sometime in the beginning of January. I have it written down somewhere. So yeah. I got these. Mythology!

Enchantment by Charlotte Abel
I happy danced when I got this book. This one's also for a blog tour, around the end of January, I think. I have that written down, too.

A Shade of Vampire by Bella Forrest
I already read this book and OHMYGOODNESS, I NEED THE NEXT ONE. Review shall be posted sometime relatively soon. It was so good, guys!

Nobody But Us by Kristin Halbrook
I have been trying and trying to get an ARC of this, so I was ecstatic when I got on the blog tour for this. I can't wait until I get a chance to read! This will probably be one I get a finished copy of ASAP. Or maybe I'll give one away sometime. Or both. Either way, I already heart this book so hard, and am so glad I have an eARC.

Defy the Stars by Stephanie Parent
Stephanie Parent is amazing, guys. I can't wait to read this oneeee!

And I THINK that's all the books I got for review. Now let's do books I got from the Opal release party...

Bought/Won

Opal by Jennifer L. Armentrout
We actually got seven copies. But the other two were in the car at the time. So yeah. These have mostly been dispersed. Now, I only have two in MY possession, and two more at my brother's house. But my copy...
There it iiiiiis. I love it. And of course I've already read it. I'll be reviewing it sometime, so keep a look out for that. And there will probably be a lot of gifs. Just so you know. ;)

Born at Midnight by C.C. Hunter
My friend Jodie won this at the dinner after the signing and gave it to me since she already owned a copy. It's signed and I cannot wait to reeeeead!

On a Dark Wing by Jordan Dane
I won this one meeeself. Again, I'm excited to read! And it's signed.

Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick
Signed. And I'm so glad to own this book! I own the second book, but borrowed the first from a friend. Now I just need the last two....which I have NOT read yet..

Fallen by Lauren Kate
Signed. And I own Torment and Rapture, so I ALMOST have the whole series. Oh, and I won Fallen, On a Dark Wing, and Hush, Hush. So thanks to whoever gave those to give away at the dinner!

I got a bunch of other stuff signed at the Opal release party, too, but that's all that was NEW.

Now...Christmas? Yeah. I think it's time for Christmas books.

Gifted:

I know, not the best picture. But I'm listing them, too, so all should be well.

From Katie, my secret Santa:
Sweet Evil by Wendy Higgins
I know, I know. I'm INSANE for not having read this book yet. But now I have it. Which means I'll read it sometime. So hold the tomatoes or rocks or whatever it was you were preparing to throw at me. Yes, that includes YOU, Priya. *narrows eyes*

Starcrossed by Josephine Angelini
My library has the second book in this trilogy, but not the first. *facepalm* So I'm glad to have this one! It has mythology, right? I like that.

From Jasmine, my OTHER secret Santa (who I met and is totally awesome):
The Iron King by Julie Kagawa
I've been wanting to read this series. Sounds good. So the first book is a MARVELOUS place to start, if you ask me.

The Body Finder by Kimberly Derting
This is another library mess up. Has the rest of the books in the series, but not the first. And these books look so good, too! So now I have it. Yay!

From my bestie, Vicki, and Mamabear:
Darkness Falls by Cate Tiernan
This book has been on my wishlist for a long while now. So yeah. And I could never find it anywhere! Of course, until today, AFTER I got the book from someone else. Now I'm going to need the last in the trilogy, Eternally Yours... My birthday IS mighty close, you know...

Living Violet by Jaime Reed
I know diddly-squat about this book. But Vicki chose it, so I think it'll be pretty nice.

Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill
This book looks so, so, SO cute. I'm excited to read this one. Seems like a sweet contemporary.

From Billy & Angie (kind of. They gave me a B&N gift card. This is what I bought):
Unspoken by Sarah Rees Brennan
I LOVELOVELOVE Sarah Rees Brennan. No lie. Her Demon's Lexicon trilogy is a huge part of why I started my blog in the first place. But THAT is a story for another time. I promised her at ATBF back in September that I'd buy this book (since they were sold out there, darn it) and now I've kept my promise. Plus, friends (Jessirae and Jena) tell me it's an AMAZING book. *squee!*

The Evolution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
I'm so glad I own this book. I WISH I owned the first book. But I have read it, and I love it, and now I'm pumped to read the sequel. It looks so great!

From Carmen, because she's flipping great:
Entangled Dreams by Carmen DeSousa
This book was on my list I made in my letter to Santa. As was Unspoken, but still. I can't remember everything on that list right now and am too lazy to look it up. The POINT is that Carmen sent me this book, signed, and she's an awesome person. Mhm. Yeah.

From Jessirae, whom I heart so hard:
Carrier of the Mark by Leigh Fallon
She saw this on my wishlist and gave me her copy because she's the freaking BEST.

Venom by Fiona Paul
She had an extra and was the bestest enough to give it to me! Did I mention that I heart her? Because I DO.

Here's all of what she gave me:
OH, and there was a magnet, too. But it's on my fridge...heh.

But that's what Jessirae gave me. HEART.

From my best Lux-loving friend, Jana:
My Super Sweet Sixteenth Century by Rachel Harris
Jana adores this book, so I just KNOW I'm going to have fun with this one. I had a signed book plate from Rachel Harris, too, so I'm glad to finally have somewhere to put it! She's the sweetest. And Jana...I love this chick. BEST FRIENDS, right here.

From my ARCycling secret Santa, Janine:
Saving Zoe by Alyson Noel
I'd never given this book any thought at all, so I'm kind of intrigued now. I did not like the Immortals series by Alyson Noel very much (the first book was good, but the second book was NOT and it was downhill from there), but I have a friend (hey, Dolly!) who is a fan. So I'm going to give it a shot sometime. If not, the book will probably go Dolly's way.

Thank you so, so, so, SO FLIPPING MUCH to everyone who sent me/gave me stuff. I love it all so much. Now I just need to sit down and, you know, READ it all.

And to my lovely blogger friends, you are all the most amazing. THE MOSTEST. <3

But, aha, there are still more gifts...

Gifted ebooks:
The Secret of Ella and Micha (The Secret, #1) Down to You (The Bad Boys, #1) Significance (Significance, #1)
The Secret of Ella & Micha by Jessica Sorensen
I was talking about this with my wonderful friend Jessirae, and then she just decided to gift it to me. I spazzed. Did I MENTION how much I heart her? So I have this to read sometime. I said this on my top 10 covers of 2012, but I'll say it again here: that lip piercing is so freaking hot. Sorry, but it's true. I love this cover.

Down To You by M. Leighton
I was talking about THIS with Priya Can I Party? Kanaparti (who may or may not be one of my favorite people--I refuse to confirm or deny) and SHE decided to gift me this. Out of nowhere. I spazzed again. P-DIDDIO, YOU'RE AWESOME. Hehe. I've heard the greatest things about this book (from Priya and Jessirae, mostly), and I trust them. so I'm excited to get into this one!

Significance by Shelly Crane
OHMYGOSH, GUYS. I've wanted this book for so long I can't even tell you. And then the spectacularly magnificent Stephanie Parent gifted it to me. At this exact moment, I'm reading it. And I always adore the idea of soulmates, so of course this book is making me sooooo happy. Now I'm going to need the rest of the books...AHHH. *happy dance*

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! to everybody. Y'all are so fantastic.

Goodness, I'm running out of adjectives.

Good thing I'm done here. Chances are, I've missed something. But we're going to have to live with it because I REALLY want to read right now. And go hunt some more in the Shortie Says Holiday Hunt. So much fun! (Button's around the top of the right sidebar, FYI.) Can you believe I only found Jena's blog a couple days ago? *headdesk* Anyways, yeah. I'm going to do stuff.

What awesome things did YOU get?

Hope your holidays were great, too! And....goodness, this is so NOT a smooth ending to this post. *sigh*

He's Gone
I love Deb Caletti. So I am seriously intrigued by her adult book coming out next year. And look at that cover!

Nameless by Lili St. Crow
Nameless (Tales of Beauty & Madness, #1)
Since I read the Strange Angels series before I started my blog, you probably don't know this, but I FLIPPING LOVELOVELOVE THAT SERIES. Which means I love Lili St. Crow. Which means, ohmyflippinggoodness, I cannot wait for this book. Plus, it just looks so greeeeeat.

Things I Can't Forget by Miranda Kenneally
Things I Can't Forget (Hundred Oaks, #3)
Miranda Kenneally writes some darn good books. 'Nuff said.

All right, y'all. I'm going to stop there. I could go on for a super long time, but I'd rather not. I kind of want to get back to reading and stuff.

What are some books you forgot to mention?

♥Jessica(:

Top 10 of 2012 ♥ Most Anticipated in 2013

I'm keeping it at 10 for this one, because there are SO. MANY. Amazing books coming out next year. I'd never be able to control myself with honorable mentions. Just know that these are not the ONLY books I'm excited for next year. I actually have a bajillion I'm looking forward to, but...these are the I just might die without.

Yeah, I'm dramatic.

A lot of these are in no particular order except, well....you know. ;)

OHMYGOSH, this was such a hard list to make. This doesn't even leave a dent in my 2013 list.

The Elite (The Selection, #2)
America needs to get on with picking Maxon. Like, NOW. Otherwise, I believe she is certifiably insane. Sorry, but I love Maxon.

8. Through the Ever Night by Veronica Rossi
Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2)
I've heard nothing but good things about this sequel. I honestly think this is going to be one of the great ones. We all know I adored Under the Never Sky, so I'm so pumped for this one!

7. Fault Line by Christa Desir
Fault Line
My wonderful friend Jessirae pointed this book out to me a couple weeks ago, and ever since then, this book has been on my mind. I want to read it soooooooooo bad!!

5. Obsession by Jennifer L. Armentrout
[No Cover Yet]
This one's an adult book. I am fully aware of this. But I DO read adult books when I feel like it. And one written by JLA? Set in the Lux world, no less? Heck, I'm all over that like white on rice.

4. Frigid by J. Lynn

This is by JLA. And it sounds so great. OF COURSE it's on my list! Can't wait. Obviously. I mean, why else would it be on my list?

The Collector (Dante Walker, #1)

So that's a few of the books I'm drooling over for next year.

What books are you looking forward to?

Top 10 of 2012 ♥ Book Boyfriends

There were A LOT of boys I wanted to include on this list, but I'm following the rules. I just want it to be knows that I WANTED to put Noah Shaw on this list. But I haven't read The Evolution of Mara Dyer yet. I plan on it as soon as I can get it into my hands, though. Okay? Okay. Now, for lists!

Honorable Mention:
Shadows (Lux, #0.5)
Dawson
The only reason he's an honorable mention is because I'm trying to make it only one boy per book, and, well....I'm sure you can guess what's coming later in this list. So yeah. Dawson's a sweetheart, though.

**From here on out, it's SO. HARD. To put a number on these. So...everything except, like, the first 2 or 3 are in no particular order, really**

10. Cadan
Wings of the Wicked (Angelfire, #2)
Dear Courtney,
Even if we're plane-wrecked on an island, Cadan is mine. MINEMINEMINE. There shall be a plane full of gorgeous boys, though, so you should be fine. The important part here is that Cadan is mine. Because I love him. K, thanks.

9. Trevor
Touching the Surface
I was always Team Trevor. I completely acknowledge that Oliver is a sweetheart, but Trevor's my boy. <3

8. Seth
Pure (Covenant, #2)
I admit, I was Team Seth. Like, SERIOUS Team Seth. I emailed Jen about it and everything. Then I read Deity and decided Aiden was amazing. But that doesn't change the fact that I'm all over Seth in Pure. Can't help it. And, urm, I REALLY hope he doesn't die in the last two books.

7. Zuri
Days of Blood & Starlight (Daughter of Smoke and Bone, #2)
THIS BOY. Thisboythisboythisboy. I love him so much.

6. Andrew
The Edge of Never
In my review, I believe I said he was perfect. Oh, sweet goodness, HE IS.

5. Maxon
The Selection (The Selection, #1)
How can I not love such a sweet prince?

4. Daniel
Centaur Legacy (Touched #2)
Funny thing about this one, he is LITERALLY my book boyfriend. Seriously. Ask Nancy and everything. She will tell you he's actually mine. I love this boy. Can't wait for Book 3!

3. Adrian
The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2)
I've always had a soft spot for our Ivashkov boy. I mean, I must if I learned how to spell his name, right? ;) LOVE HIM. Cannot wait for The Indigo Spell, which I'm sure I've mentioned already. How Sydney can deny this kind boy, I have no clue.

2. Aiden
Deity (Covenant, #3)
I was Team Seth and Aiden STILL managed to win me over. That's a big deal. Plus, Aiden's just a bog sweetie. WHERE IS APOLLYON?! *sigh*

1. Daemon
Opal (Lux, #3)
I KNOW that didn't surprise you. I don't really try to be covert with my Daemon loving. He's just downright awesome. He's my favorite book character EVER and I just....AH, I adore him. There will never be enough Daemon. Ever. I love Jen so much for creating Daemon.

Fun fact: Next year, I have this huge feeling a swoon-worthy boy named DANTE WALKER's going to be allllll over these lists. Especially this one. I'm kind of excited to see where he ends up... ;)

Tell me about some of your book boyfriends! Please?

Top 10 of 2012 ♥ Best Couples

Today was actually a choice day, but since I'm ME, I had to choose the most obvious one. I mean, if you'd seen the list, you'd automatically think "Jessica's totally going to pick that one!" And, well, yeah. Some of this list I KNOW y'all are already predicting. But hey, some you might not. So yay!

Oh, wait. I might have picked the bad boy one, too. So yeah. But I would have only picked that for one boy, so...hehe. Either, way, my favorite couples I've read in 2012!

Honorable Mentions:
Ethan & Emme
Take a Bow
Oh, they are so cute.

Maxon & America
The Selection (The Selection, #1)
I love these two, but they aren't OFFICIAL as a couple enough yet for me to put them on the actual list. America needs to open her eyes and choose my boy.

Zach & Aura
Shine (Shade, #3)
Zach...<3

10. Sam & Ana
Incarnate (Newsoul, #1)
I luuurve Dossam. He's so nice.

9. Bennett & Anna
Time Between Us
They're so cuuuuute!

8. Dawson & Bethany
Shadows (Lux, #0.5)
I know what you're thinking. "I CAN'T BELIEVE A JLA COUPLE'S ONLY #8!" But we haven't seen all that much of these two. And I love them, but I had to take that into account. I'm glad to include them, though, especially after Opal. I love these two. Dawson's so sweet.

7. Trevor & Elliot
Touching the Surface
OH, TREVOR. I heart that boy.

6. Nick & Mae
The Demon's Lexicon (The Demon's Lexicon Trilogy, #1) The Demon's Covenant (The Demon's Lexicon, #2) The Demon's Surrender (Demon's Lexicon Trilogy, #3)
These books weren't released in 2012, but I did read them this year and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. They're part of the reason I started my blog. First review  wrote, all that jazz. And Nick & Mae are two of my favorite characters. I adore them as a couple.

5. Perry & Aria
Under the Never Sky (Under the Never Sky, #1)
Do I need to explain this? Have you READ this book? I cannot wait for Through the Ever Night.

4. Andrew & Camryn
The Edge of Never
Andrew is so amazing and these two make one of my favorite couples ever. I hope to goodness there's a follow-up to this book. Hopefully a sequel? That would make me so happy!

3. Adrian & Sydney
The Golden Lily (Bloodlines, #2)
So I probably seem like a hypocrite after what I said about America & Maxon. But the difference here is that I've loved Adrian for so long now. Things are GOING to work out in the long run, I have no doubt. With America, though, there is a question. Which makes me mad. Plus, Sydney and Adrian clearly love each other. I can't wait for The Indigo Spell which, fun fact, comes out on my birthday! ;)

2. Aiden & Alex
Pure (Covenant, #2) Deity (Covenant, #3)
It's no secret that I was Team Seth for a little while. But honestly, it is so obvious that Aiden and Alex are supposed to be together. Plus, Seth's not the best guy right now. NOT COOL, SETH. Nevertheless, I love these two. Can't wait for Apollyon!

1. Daemon & Katy
Obsidian (Lux, #1) Onyx (Lux, #2) Opal (Lux, #3)
You can NOT tell me you're surprised right now. I love these books, and I love these two. I just finished Opal on Christmas Eve, and....ohmygod, guys. I can't even. This is my favorite couple ever. EVER. I can't see that changing anytime even remotely soon. Katy's so kickass, and DAEMON. That boy gets me. He does things to my heart, I tell you. My favorite. Favorite, favorite, favorite.

And those are my favorite couples. I know there are a bunch of other great ones--some I've read and some I haven't--but this is MY list.

I'd love to know who some of your favorite couples are!
